What are Subluxations ?
SUBLUXATIONS (misalignments) are:
Segments of the spine (vertebra) that aren't aligned properly.
Why are subluxations bad for you ?
Subluxations don't allow vertebra to move properly. This causes pain and over
time this can lead to joint and disc degeneration. When the vertebra are
misaligned they also irritate the nerves that control different parts of your
body.
How do you get subluxations ?
The most common ways are:
Mis-using or over-using your body
Excessive stress
Accidents
How do you fix subluxations ?
Dr. Hanson uses an instrument called an Activator
that pushes the vertebra back towards normal alignment with a quick, controlled
and gentle thrust.
What keeps the vertebra in place after an adjustment ?
The main thing that keeps the vertebra in place are the muscles. Gradually,
the body will heal itself and the muscles will hold the vertebra in place.
It takes a series of adjustments to allow enough time for this to happen.
Interruptions in your care or activities that aggravate your spine increase the
healing time.
